Please note that upon completion of this process, most of your Microsoft products (Outlook, OneDrive, mobile email, etc) will ask for re-authentication. This will require entry of your normal password AND the six-digit 2FA code you are about to configure. Therefore it is recommended you do this during a quiet moment in your work day.

⦁ From any computer, open an Internet browser and go to aka.ms/MFASetup
⦁ If prompted, type in your email address
⦁ When prompted for More Information Required, click Next
⦁ Under Step 1, select Mobile App, then click Set Up
⦁ You will see a dialog with a scannable QR Code. The next set of instructions are specifically for Twilio Authy, which is available for both Android and iOS. If you have another solution (Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, etc) these instructions will be close, but not exact.

1. Tap the Menu button (top right of the Authy home screen) and then Add Account
2. Tap Scan QR Code, then use your camera to scan the code on your computer screen.
3. Authy lets you edit the Logo and Nickname of this account – you can set them to whatever you want and hit Save
4. You’ll be returned to the app’s main screen, with your new account and a six-digit code displayed. Keep this code up for the next steps.

⦁ Back on your computer screen, click Next - this will close the QR Code dialog
⦁ Click Next again
⦁ You will be asked for a verification code - enter the six-digit code from your phone and click Next
⦁ You may be asked for a cell phone number. If so, select the United States region, enter your 10-digit mobile number, and continue.

Be aware that upon completing both RD and Email 2FA configuration, you will have TWO accounts in your authentication app, generating two separate codes. Ensure you have picked the right one when attempting to log on.
